In recent years, the construction industry has faced significant developments in the field of lightening structures and improving thermal and sound insulation. One of the most important and practical natural building materials that plays a vital role in this field is mineral pumice. Qorve city in Kurdistan province is known as the main pole and center of production of the highest quality porous igneous rocks in Iran and even the Middle East. Among the types of granulations of this precious stone, the purchase of pea and almond mineral pumice in Qorveh is the most demanded by contractors, civil engineers, mass builders and activists in the field of block construction.
What is mineral pumice and why Kurdistan group is its pole?
Mineral pumice or pumice is a porous and very light igneous rock that is formed by volcanic activity. When the molten volcanic materials reach the earth's surface and the gases trapped in them are quickly released, a spongy, light and porous structure is created, which is rich in silicates and resistant mineral compounds.
- Very low volumetric weight and extraordinary lightness
- Unparalleled compressive and mechanical resistance
- Controlled and low water absorption percentage
- No chemical reaction with cement and no salt or scale production
- 100% mineral structure, fireproof and resistant to high temperatures up to more than 1000 degrees Celsius
Using the most modern sanding and granulation equipment, Puke Moazzami separates the raw stones extracted from the prestigious mines of Qorveh with the highest quality standards and provides them to large and small construction projects without additional soil.
Characteristics and applications of pea mineral pumice in the construction industry
pea mineral pumice is one of the most widely used and popular sizes extracted from the mines of Qorve city. The size of the seeds of this product usually varies between 10 and 20 mm, and due to the similarity of its dimensions to pea seeds, it is known by this name in the term of the construction market.
Specific weight and physical characteristics of pea size
The specific weight of Qorveh pea pods is on average between 550 and 650 kg per cubic meter. This light weight causes the dead load of the building to decrease significantly and the structure's resistance to earthquakes increases to a significant extent.
The most important applications of pea mineral pumice
- Floor construction and slope of floors: Due to its proportional dimensions, this size easily fills the empty space between pipes and floor installations and creates a uniform and solid surface.
- Production of light concrete: In the production of structural and non-structural concrete, using this material as a light aggregate optimizes the mechanical properties and reduces the final weight of concrete.
- Production of lightweight pumice block E: Advanced block making workshops use pea pumice prepared from Moazzami pumice to make light blocks with high resistance and sound insulation.
- Green space, roof garden and modern agriculture: Due to its porous structure and excellent ventilation, it is used for growing plants and soil drainage on roofs.
Characteristics and uses of mineral pumice of Qorveh almonds
Another and popular type of these natural stones is almond mineral pumice. The size of almond seeds is usually between 20 and 35 mm and is bigger than the size of peas. This product has the lowest specific weight among aggregated stones due to the larger volume of grains and the empty space between them.
Features and weight of almond pumice
The specific weight of Qorveh almond pulp is about 500 to 600 kg/m3. This product is extremely light and its uniform granulation causes proper air flow in the lower layers of flooring.
The main uses of almond pumice
- Sloping roofs and sloping roofs: The main and most common use of almond pumice is to lighten and create a reliable slope in the roof of buildings.
- Filling pits and high-volume spaces: In projects that need to fill a large volume of floor, foundation or foundation without imposing dead load on the structure, almond pumice is the best option.
- Sewage house treatment and drainage of construction projects: due to the natural voids, it is considered an excellent substrate for water and sewage filtration.
- Bridge building, tunnel construction and road construction: It is used to lighten the infrastructure of roads and retaining walls.
Moazzami puke collection guarantees that the shipments of almond puke have the lowest amount of breakage, no miscellaneous stones and no debris.
Comparison of pea mineral pomace and almond pomace
Many customers, when buying pea and almond mineral pumice in Qorveh, face the question of which of these two types is more suitable for their project. For clarity, we compare these two products in the following analytical table
Features of pea mineral pumice, almond mineral pumice, particle size 10 to 20 mm, 20 to 35 mm, approximate weight per cubic meter 550 to 650 kg, 500 to 600 kg, the most common use is flooring between floors, blocking, roof slope, filling large spaces, cement mortar consumption, average consumption, cement consumption is slightly less due to the size of the grains, very high and denser point load resistance, high and ideal for uniform load distribution
If your project includes a roof slope with a thickness higher than 10 cm, it is recommended to buy almond mineral pumice. But if you plan to install floors with less thickness or if you have several installations on the floor, pea mineral pumice is a more ideal choice. Experts with Puke Moazzami experience are ready to give you the best advice for a cost-effective purchase according to the executive plan and the thickness of the user layers.
The unique benefits of buying mineral pumice directly from Qorveh
Purchasing light stones from the main source, i.e. Qorve city, brings many competitive advantages, which attention helps to reduce costs and increase the final quality of the building:
- Excellent sound insulation: The closed porosity in the marble reduces the transmission of vibrations and sounds between floors to a significant extent.
- Thermal insulation and energy saving: Using natural pumice on the floor and ceiling, the temperature exchange between the outside and the inside of the building is reduced and cooling and heating costs are controlled.
- Decreasing the dead weight of the structure: The weight of the materials Sand is one of the risk factors in earthquakes. Replacing these materials with mineral pumice stone lightens the overall weight of the structure.
- Longevity and endless durability: These stones are of natural and heavy origin, as a result, unlike chemical and polymer insulations, they do not rot, break down, expire or become infected over time.
- Resistance against fire: pumice stones are volcanic stones and have the highest resistance to fire and high temperatures. They have a lot.
Factors influencing the price of mineral pumice of peas and almonds in Qorveh
When you buy pea and almond mineral powder in Qorveh, the final price of the product may be calculated under the influence of various factors:
- Specific weight of the load and degree of purity: The lighter the specific weight of the load and the lower the amount of ash and heavy stone, the higher the quality and, as a result, its economic value.
- The method of granulation and sorting: Loads that have accurate, clean and separated granulation and are separated with standard sieves, have a different price than unsorted (mixed) loads.
- Extraction season and water conditions and Air: During the rainy season, the extraction process in the mines may slow down, which affects the supply and price.
- Project order volume: Orders with high tonnage or heavy meters in Puke Moazzami include special discounts and a better final price.
- Transportation costs: Selection of the appropriate transportation fleet (ten-wheel truck, edged trailer or dump truck) based on the geographical location of the unloading, It has a decisive role in the total cost per cubic meter.
Step-by-step guide and important tips when buying mineral pumice
In order to have a safe shopping experience, without financial loss and with excellent quality, you need to consider the following points:
Detailed examination of weight and weighing scales
